Talk Description
Babylonian astrologers recognized that the planets had a baseline quality — either constructive or destructive — that was able to change under certain conditions. This fundamental idea was maintained and further elaborated by Astrologers in the Hellenistic, Islamicate, and Latinate worlds. In this lecture, we will discuss the history, practice, and importance of assessing planetary conditions prior to and for the sake of delineating and forecasting.
Presenter Bio
Since 2022, Akil has immersed themselves in the serious study of astrology and magic, exploring their rich intersection. Engaging in discussions within various spaces, they have cultivated an understanding of how these fields intertwine and influence personal and collective experiences. Now, Akil aims to formalize and share these insights through articles, presentations, and other methods, fostering a broader dialogue and encouraging deeper exploration of astrology and magic in contemporary contexts.
