The Past

The past year has been a pretty eventful one for our organization. Earlier in the year we launched our new website, complete with additional MP3s in our members area and a brand new forum. In May we successfully organized a scholarship and room share program at the United Astrology Conference in Denver, and helped to host the premiere of Kelly Lee Phipps' film Return of the Magi. The New York chapter of NCGR donated a couple of free passes to their June conference for us to distribute to AYA members. Then in September we awarded five scholarships, donated by Moses, to AYA members for the Blast Astrology Conference, where we organized another successful room share program.

The Future

At the moment we are engaged in talks with the organizers of the Northwest Astrology Conference, to be held in Seattle next May, in order to set up a work for trade program so that AYA members can attend the conference for free in return for helping to organize the conference. We may have as many as 10 to 15 spots open for AYA members if anyone is interested. More details coming soon.

Our biggest project next year is working with the American Federation of Astrologers in order to help organize their free convention in Miami during the first week of July. We are in the process of putting together an audio/visual team in order to help record and document the conference, and we are looking for AYA members who are interested in helping us to work on this project. The AFA convention will be the main destination for AYA members next year, and since it is a free conference we hope to be able to get as many AYA members to it as possible, perhaps making it the largest gathering of our group yet. There will be more announcements about what we have planned for that event in the near future as well.
